Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the APIs provided by the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) through the Developer Portal at cait.gov.kw. By accessing or using the APIs, you agree to comply with these Terms.
2. License and Access
CAIT grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the APIs for development, testing, and internal governmental or business purposes only. You may not sublicense, resell, or distribute the APIs without prior written consent from CAIT. API access may be subject to usage limits and restrictions as defined by CAIT.
3. Acceptable Usage
You agree not to use the APIs in any way that:
- Violates any applicable laws or regulations of Kuwait.
- Compromises the security or integrity of CAIT’s systems.
- Attempts to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code.
- Engages in fraudulent, harmful, or misleading activities.
You must implement appropriate security measures to protect API credentials and ensure proper authentication.
4. Data Usage and Privacy
By using the APIs, you agree to comply with CAIT’s privacy policies regarding data handling and user information. You are responsible for ensuring that any data collected through the APIs complies with Kuwaiti data protection laws.
5. API Changes and Updates
CAIT reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the APIs at any time, with or without prior notice. It is your responsibility to monitor updates and maintain compatibility with the latest API versions.
6. Fees and Payment
Access to certain APIs may be subject to fees, as outlined in a separate pricing agreement. Failure to make timely payments may result in suspension or termination of API access.
7. Limitation of Liability
The APIs are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. CAIT shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from API use.
8. Termination
CAIT reserves the right to terminate your access to the APIs at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of the APIs and delete any stored data obtained through them.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kuwait. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Kuwait.
